Mukesh Ambani’s eldest son, Akash Ambani proposed to girlfriend Shloka Mehta in Goa on Saturday in the presence of the Ambanis and the Mehtas. Nita and Mukesh Ambani hosted a pre-engagement bash for the couple at their residence last night.

B-Town stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and others made their presence felt. Akash and Shloka will tie the knot at the end of this year in a 4-5 day long ceremony in Mumbai.

The couple will get formally engaged in June. About the nuptials, Nita Ambani told a leading daily, “Mukesh and I have given very strong foundation to our kids and even larger wings to fly - they have the freedom to take decisions for themselves and of course, choose whom they would want to spend the rest of their lives with. Marrying the one you love is gratifying and heart-warming. I have known Shloka since she was four and we are all delighted to welcome her to our home and our hearts."

We came across INSIDE pics from the bash. Akash and Shloka’s celebration cake is a beautiful seven tiered floral cake with their names engraved on it.

Karan Johar, who is a close family friend also posted a photo with the couple and captioned it, “Congratulations to this adorable couple!!!!! #akashloka”

He also posted a photo with Isha Ambani and posted, ‘with my fave’.
