Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s son Akash Ambani proposed to childhood friend and long-time girlfriend Shloka Mehta in March this year in the presence of their families in Goa. Akash and Shloka studied together at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School and the families have been friends for many years. Shloka is the daughter of diamantaire Russell Mehta who owns Rosy Blue Diamonds.

The Ambani family hosted a pre-engagement bash earlier this year for Akash and Shloka and Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Karan Johar had arrived to congratulate the couple.

The traditional engagement ceremony will take place tomorrow. Mehendi ceremony took place at the family’s residence today. Bride-to-be Shloka Mehta looked stunning in an Anamika Khanna outfit.

Akash’s twin sister Isha Ambani who recently graduated from Stanford University opted for a beige-and-pink lehenga. Isha also got engaged to Anand Piramal and will be tying the knot by the end of the year. Priyanka Chopra attended the pre-engagement function and looked stunning in a saree. She posted a photo with Akash and Shloka.

The ring ceremony of Akash and Shloka will take place on the 30^th of this month and will be hosted by none other than Shah Rukh Khan, as per a report in Filmfare. He will also be performing at the party. The who’s who of Bollywood is expected to attend Akash and Shloka’s engagement bash which will take place at the Ambani residence.

The wedding will take place in Mumbai over 4-5 days at a five star hotel. The tentative dates are December 8-12, 2018.
