Imtiaz Ali shares a BTS still of the first shot of Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone from Tamasha
Imtiaz Ali took to his Instagram page and shared a photo from his 2015 directorial Tamasha starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. The photo is clicked on the first day of the shoot.
Imtiaz Ali's 2015 film Tamasha is considered as one of the most underrated films in Bollywood. The film reunited Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone on the big screen for the third time after Bachna Ae Haseeno and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. In the film, one of the most iconic scenes turned out to be the breakup scene between the leads just before the song, Agar Tum Saath Ho starts.
Imtiaz makes sure to treat the Tamasha fans by sharing unknown facts and BTS stills from the film on his Instagram page. A few hours back, Imtiaz shared a photo from the first day of the shoot which took place in Corsica. Remember how they met for the first time in the film? Yes, that beautiful sequence.

Earlier, during an EXCLUSIVE interaction with Pinkvilla, Imtiaz was asked if any other actors could have done justice to the characters of Ved and Tara like Ranbir and Deepika did. To which he said that it is very very difficult and not possible at all. He also stated that no one else could have done Ved better than Ranbir. Ali also revealed that if Ranbir wouldn't have said yes, he wouldn't have made Tamasha. And on the similar lines for Deepika too. The talented filmmaker said that the character and role were also changed for Deepika after she was finalised for the film.
