IFFI 2018: Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar head to Goa for the opening ceremony

The International Film Festival of India commences today in Goa. Just like every year, even this year, the film festival will have a galore of Bollywood celebrities and stars. Today, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar were snapped at airport in Mumbai on their way to Goa. Both Akshay and Karan opted for black and looked handsome. The actor and the director even posed for the shutterbugs.

From the Hindi film industry, many celebrities will mark their presence for the prestigious film festival. Celebrities such as directors Madhur Bhandarkar, Ramesh Sippy, singer Arijit singh, The  Aspern Papers director Julien Landais and actor Chin Han will also attend the festival, reports Indian Express. Along with them, other dignitaries like Governor of Goa, Mridula Sinha, PWD minister Sudin Madhav Dhavalikar and Prasoon Joshi will also be present.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar has a lot of films in his kitty. He will be seen in Kesari alongside Parineeti Chopra, in Housefull 4 with Kriti Sanon, in Good News along with Kareena Kapoor Khan and in a multi-starrer film titled Mission Mangal

On the other hand, after a gap of 5 years, Karan Johar will be back to direction with a period film titled Takht. The film stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles.
