Harshvardhan Kapoor arrived at his residence today and joined the family in mourning. The entire Kapoor family has gathered at Anil Kapoor’s residence in the city to comfort and console Sridevi’s daughters Janhvi and Khushi.
Stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan, Tabu, Madhuri Dixit and others arrived at Anil Kapoor’s residence to meet the bereaved family.
Anant Ambani was also clicked as he arrived at Anil Kapoor’s bungalow. Anil Ambani’s private charter has been sent to bring Sridevi’a mortal remains to the country. Boney Kapoor and brother Sanjay Kapoor are in Dubai completing the formalities.
Sridevi passed away after she slipped in a bathtub following loss of consciousness. The post mortem report cites her cause of death as accidental drowning. Authorities are going to investigate the circumstances which led to her demise, as per a report in a UAE based daily.
The repatriation of Sridevi’s mortal remains may take more time as the case has now been handed over to Public Prosecution by Dubai Police.
“Boney Kapoor, Jhanvi, Khushi and the entire Kapoor, Ayyappan and Marwah family is deeply bereaved and shocked with the untimely loss of Sridevi Kapoor. They thank the entire media for their prayers, support and sensitivity during their time of grief,” Kapoor family spokesperson had said yesterday.
Sanjay Kapoor, Sridevi’s brother-in-law had told a leading daily, “He spoke to a leading daily from Dubai and said, “People have been helpful and are trying to do their best to help us in this situation. The authorities have to follow the procedure. We have to abide by the country’s laws. The police is doing their best to help us with the formalities.”
