Girl Power: Priyanka Chopra shares pictures with Malala Yousafzai and Muzoon Almellehan
Priyanka Chopra was honoured to speak at the Global Goals Awards on the importance of empowering girls on Tuesday.
Priyanka Chopra, who recently walked the red carpet at 69th Emmy Awards, was honoured to speak at the Global Goals Awards on the importance of empowering girls on Tuesday.
The beautiful actress addressed the global leaders and urged everyone to educate and create opportunities for young girls and children. Priyanka, who is the goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, posted a picture on Instagram with the youngest ambassador for UNICEF named Muzoon Almellehan.
She captioned the image as saying: ‘’ Kicking off #UNGA to advocate for the importance of education. Proud to stand alongside my fellow @unicef Goodwill Ambassador 19 yr old @MuzoonAlmellehan, her strength...her determination...her hope...is nothing short of inspiring. We endeavor to be the voices of all children around the world that are denied an education because of poverty, displacement or war. #UnitedNationsGeneralAssembly.’’
PeeCee shared another picture saying: ‘’ "If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children." The actress also posed with none other than Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai.
Before making appearances at the award ceremonies like Emmys, Global Goals and TIFF, Priyanka was in Jordan to help and educate the Syrian children under UNICEF's initiative. Priyanka met a lot of refugee kids in Za'atari camp and kept her fans updated about her Jordan itinerary on Instagram.
On the work front, Priyanka will soon commence shooting for Quantico's Season 3. Unlike the first two seasons which had 22 episodes each, Season 3 will have only 13 episodes.
The actress also has two Hollywood projects under her kitty - A Kid Like Jake starring Jim Parsons, Claire Danes, and Octavia Spencer as well as Isn't It Romantic? starring Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine, and Liam Hemsworth.
