Gauri Khan-Karan Johar head to Delhi to be by Shweta Nanda's side post her father-in-law Rajan Nanda's demise

In some upsetting news, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan's daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda along with her family had to bid goodbye to Rajan Nanda, her father-in-law. Rajan Nanda, the Chairman and Managing Director of Escorts Limited, passed away on Sunday i.e August 5, 2018 evening as he was declared brain dead.  Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor's daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni had confirmed the sad news and had tweeted, "You were & will always be a legend! Thank you for all the love always - will miss you so much uncle - until we meet again..."

The entire Bachchan family including Big B, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were by Shweta's side during the last rites and prayer meet while many members of the Kapoor family including Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor were also in Delhi to be by the Nanda family's side. Shweta's good friends Gauri Khan and  Karan Johar were spotted at the Mumbai airport as they made their way to Delhi to condole Shweta and her family in their time of grief.

"Dear FB and Twitter friends, I need to share a very sad news. Our ESCORTS Group Chairman Shri Rajan Nanda is no more. An era comes to an end. May his blessed soul rest in peace. — feeling sad," Rajnish Sharma, who was Rajan Nanda's associate tweeted. 

Amitabh Bachchan too late last night took to his social media pages to express his grief.
