Shraddha Kapoor and Sonali Bendre celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with their families.

Ganesha or Ganpati is undoubtedly one of the most popular Hindu deities in India. In Maharashtra, it is celebrated with all its fervor and grandeur. It is a ten-day Hindu festival celebrated to honour the elephant-headed God Ganesha's birthday. He is the younger son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

Lord Ganesha or Ganpati is considered as the God of all beginnings and is worshiped at the start of any ritual or ceremony. And today, the festivities have begun. On the streets of Mumbai, you could see people chanting Ganpati Bappa Maurya. 

People welcome Ganapati Bappa to their homes and in local pandals ahead of the puja and each day is celebrated with special food and aarti. The God is served dishes made with coconut, jaggery and modaks. And B-Towners celerate it with much fanfare and enthusiasm.

We got the pictures of Shraddha Kapoor and brother Siddhant celebating it with their family. On the work front, the two will be seen in Haseena Parkar. 

On the other hand, Sonali Bendre and her husband have also welcomed Ganpati Bappa at their home.
