It’s that time of the year again. Lord Ganesha is here and everyone has welcomed him with a lot of joy. The Mumbai Ganesh festival is one of the biggest celebrations in the city. From Ganpati mandals to people chanting Ganpati Bappa Morya on the streets of Mumbai, the festival is no less than a party but it has a huge importance.

Ganesh Chaturthi 2017 has begin on 25th August and will end on 5th September. Sweets like modak, jaggery and coconut are offered to the deity. And as we say that any occasion or festival is incomplete without the Bollywood tadka.

We got the pictures of Govinda celebrating the festival with family. In an exclusive interview with us, Govinda told us, "We keep Ganpati for one and half days. From the times when my mom was there, we started doing the pooja. And why did we start following it? Well, it's because that Ganpati gets prosperity and wealth. It gets positive energy at home. And this is one festive when people of all the religions come together and he is God of prosperity."

Ganesh puja at RK Studios is a ritual and yesterday, Randhir Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor and Krishna Raj Kapoor welcomed Ganpati Bappa.
