To everyone’s surprise, Gul Panag has revealed in an interview that she and husband Rishi Attari became parents to a baby boy six months ago. She kept her pregnancy and delivery a secret from the media. The couple tied the knot in 2011 and embraced parenthood last year.
We came across a photo on social media of Gul Panag striking a pose with husband Rishi and son, Nihal. Gul had told Mumbai Mirror that they had a list of names from ‘everyone and everywhere’, they picked the name Nihal as it means joy, success and victory.

Gul Panag was last seen on the silver screen in Nagesh Kukunoor’s Dor and Hello. She has been a fitness enthusiast and an activist. Gul often raises social issues and spreads awareness through her social media accounts. She also contested election in 2014 through an Aam Aadmi Party seat from Chandigarh.
Talking about her pregnancy, Gul told the daily that she and husband Rishi value their privacy and they did not want the distraction of public attention as becoming parents is a special experience. She said that their close friends and family members knew about son, Nihal but they refrained from posting anything on social media.
She described motherhood as a roller coaster experience and said that she is charmed by her son’s giggles and gurgles, even though her routine schedule has gone for a toss.
