First Look of Sridevi in Tamil epic drama 'Puli'
Superstar Sridevi, who made the greatest comeback into Bollywood for an actress with her global hit 'English Vinglish' in 2012, is back on the silver screen once again. Before claiming the No.1 title in Bollywood during the 80s, Sridevi was already the ruling queen of Tamil cinema. The actress is back again to woo her millions of Tamil fans with her forthcoming epic extravaganza titled 'Puli' (Lion).
Touted as one of the most expensive films ever made, 'Puli' will feature Sridevi as an Empress with negative shades playing the primary antagonist to the hero. The teaser effectively captures the evil unleashed by her character in the film. Her regal look created by Manish Malhotra is already drawing rave reviews with the release of the film's teaser. Comparisons are also being made with Tilda Swinton in Narnia and Angelina Jolie in Maleficent. The teaser itself has gone viral.
Interestingly Sridevi remains the only Indian actress who was No.1 simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu film industries during the 90s. No other actress has been able to achieve such pan-Indian success in multiple film industries after Sridevi.
