Exquisite floral décor and Bollywood music: Inside details of Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja’s Mehendi function

Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s Mehendi ceremony was hosted at the banquet hall of Sonam Kapoor’s apartment. Sonam and Anand’s family members and friends were in attendance at the grand ceremony. Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji, Shilpa Shetty, Jacqueline Fernandez, Swara Bhasker, Katrina Kaif and Varun Dhawan were amongst the celebs who arrived for the ceremony.

The décor of the venue was exquisite and classy. The Kapoors opted for a white and silver combination. Beautiful floral designs made the venue look dreamy. Sofas with white tapestry and cover were placed to match the overall theme. Check out the décor here:

After the Mehendi application, guests grooved to Sukhbir Singh’s tunes. Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan set the dance floor on fire. Sonam Kapoor’s parents Anil and Sunita Kapoor also danced to songs like ‘Abhi to Party Shuru Hui Hai’, ‘London Thumakda’.

For the event today, Sonam Kapoor opted for a beige colored Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga. She looked stunning as she twinned with Anand Ahuja.

In an interview with The National, Sonam had said, “I think the whole idea of a marriage is more appealing to me than a wedding.I think there is too much money spent; it’s all very crass, and I would rather give that money away. I’d rather have a wedding at home than anywhere else. I think it’s important to do all the rituals, but I don’t believe in spending all that money, I find it disgusting and very wasteful, and I’m not okay with that at all.”
