EXCLUSIVE: Shahid Kapoor’s training photos from Padmavati LEAKED

Padmavati is a film that is most looked forward to for several reasons; apart from it being a Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial, this will be the first collaboration for Shahid Kapoor and Bhansali. The film will also see Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starring together in a film for the first time.

The lead actors have been training hard to play royals in the film. Shahid Kapoor will be seen essaying the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh - King of Chittor and Padmavati's husband in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus, Padmavati. Shahid has been training hard for his role as a brave warrior for the film. Shahid can be seen in an intense sword fighting session with his trainer in the photos. 

About the film and his role, Shahid and told a leading daily, “Padmavati is a rather famous story, historical fact that happened. I did broadly know about it. However, with Sanjay sir, it’s very much about what he wants to make and the world he wants to create and his interpretation of the characters. The curiosity was what is it that he wants me to do. When I heard it, I was very excited and I thought it was a great opportunity.”

He added, “I always wanted to work with Bhansali sir. He offered me something, I really liked it and I did it.”

Fans are looking forward to the 30-second trailer that the team is reportedly planning to release during the festival of Navrati.
