Dhadak: Sridevi and Janhvi Kapoor pose for a selfie with Manish Malhotra
The shoot of Dhadak commenced today.
Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter have started shooting for their upcoming film Dhadak in Rajasthan. The film is the official Hindi remake of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat.
Interestingly, Sridevi has accompanied Janhvi to Jaipur with Boney Kapoor for moral support as it's their daughter's debut film. Also seen was ace designer Manish Malhotra who is designing Janhvi's costumes for the movie.
Manish took to his Instagram page and shared a selfie posing with Sridevi and Janhvi. In the picture, the mother-daughter duo is seen sharing a shawl and are all smiles for the camera.
Manish captioned the picture stating, "#jhanvikapoor s first day of shoot .... #morning #Udaipur #selfie time with @sridevi.kapoor #janvhikapoor both in #manishmalhotralabel #signsture #shawls with #Kashmiri #threadwork on the sets of #Dhadak’ @dharmamovies @karanjohar @shashankkhaitan #ishan #costumedesign #manishmalhotraworld @mmalhotraworld @janhvikapoor_6"

The Hindi remake, Dhadak will be directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions.
A few posters of Dhadak were released a few days ago. Ishaan and Janhvi looked stunning together and have got everyone excited for the movie.
In an interview with a leading agency, Shashank had said, "The basic premise is of differences in caste, honour killing and what it means to survive in that world and I feel that is the conflict that is alive all across India, you will hear stories like that. So in that sense, the basic premise (of Dhadak and Sairat) is same. But there are variations. My story is based on another set up… It is (set) in Rajasthan. It comes with its own challenges, conflicts and style of a love story."
