Dhadak Fever: Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter's characters Parthavi and Madhukar are an icing on a cake
Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter are all set to entice their fans with their upcoming film, Dhadak. The film is an official adaptation of Marathi hit film, Sairat.
Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter are all set to entice their fans with their upcoming film, Dhadak. The film is an official adaptation of Marathi hit film, Sairat. Janhvi took to Insta story and shared a picture of a cake on which their characters Parthavi and Madhukar are an icing on a cake.

Their film Dhadak is set against the backdrop of Rajasthan and a major sequence of the film has been shot in Kolkata. Dhadak is helmed by Shashank Khaitan and it is produced by Karan Johar. The music for the film is composed by Sairat's music director Ajay-Atul.
In a recent interview, Ishaan spoke about the comparisons between Dhadak and Sairat.He said that though he feels pressurized considering the huge success that Sairat received, but they are all trying to keep their wits about them.
He opined that it’s important to maintain one’s own perspective and for that if one gets carried away by everything people say, they wouldn’t know where to look. He also explained how Dhadak is an honest adaptation of Sairat, but the audience must give him and Janhvi a chance and not make quick judgments because of their sentimental attachment with Sairat.
He added by saying that Dhadak was never meant to be a gimmicky remake and has always been an honest adaptation with different characters, ideas and idiosyncrasies.
Dhadak is slated to release on July 20.
