She donned a green and goldensharara outfit and completed the look with statement earrings. Deepika was in an upbeat mood and smiled for the cameras. Deepika was seen enjoying Rajasthani Thali to celebrate the release of Padmaavat.

Talking about Padmaavat, the film has been through many controversies. There was immense opposition from a few Rajput groups and the Censor Board. However, the film has finally released today to packed theatres.
She had said at an event a couple of days ago, “I am extremely overwhelmed and emotional right now. I think this film has been through so much. To see that the film is finally releasing and to see the kind of reactions that the film is getting, reactions to my performance, it is extremely overwhelming.”
When asked to react on the threats from Karni Sena, Deepika had said, “I think there is a time for everything, the film has spoken for itself. The reactions to the film have been absolutely phenomenal. That is the best response we can give to anyone through the work that we do. We are very very excited about the release tomorrow. We are extremely overwhelmed. I am very emotional at this point. Like I said, it’s time for us to celebrate.”
Meanwhile, Deepika will start shooting for her next film, Vishal Bharadwaj’s next based on Sapna Didi. Deepika will be seen essaying a powerful character in the film.
