HT Most Stylish Awards: Deepika Padukone looks ethereal in a silk saree

Deepika Padukone is a stunner, which is something we can all agree on. Whether it is an evening gown or a traditional saree, the actress knows how to slay it with any look.

Today, we got our hands on a picture of  Deepika Padukone, where she is looking incredibly gorgeous in a pink silk saree with a golden border. Neat hairdo and smokey eyes accentuated the look. She accessorised the saree with gold earrings and a beautiful necklace.

When asked how would she define fashion, Deepika had earlier said, ''Fashion for me is what I believe in. The clothes that I wear should suit my body structure and I should be able to carry it off with ease. I am not dictated by fashion masters telling me, “You should wear this, because it is in trend.” Every individual should just go out there and wear what suits your personality. There’s much more to life than just following trends.''

Talking about her personal statement, she had said, ''My style has always been simple, very basic. I like my outfits to be comfortable and wearable. It’s been this way since sometime and my style hasn’t changed a bit. You will never see me in anything that makes me feel ill-at-ease. I might experiment with styles like, edgy or goth for my photoshoots, but that doesn’t come naturally to me. My everyday, casual look would be white teamed up with either tan or denim. I like my apparel to be in white or pastel shades. Another colour that I like is coral. Also, I don’t really like accessorising too much. A simple watch or a good pair of sunglasses is enough.''

Meanwhile, during an episode of BFFs with Vogue which featured Deepika with sister Anisha Padukone, the actress was asked whose wedding attire would she prefer to adorn when she gets married. She had replied Sabyasachi Mukherjee. 

On the work front,  Deepika’s movie Padmaavat released today at 7 PM after a string of protests by the Karni Sena. The movie also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles. 

Talking about the movie with a leading publication, Deepika had earlier said, "While we are filming, we don’t burden ourselves with the high expectations. I think now the film is complete, we are just excited. We are feeling confident but also keen and eager to show this film to people because we have made it with so much love,passion and enthusiasm. We hope the audience like it and I know they will. We are all getting this feeling of love already before its release. I can feel Padmavati is heading towards being something really special."
