Deepika Padukone, the acting power house, last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhasali’s 'Padmaavat' post the completion of the film took a long break and also got married to beau Ranveer Singh. Now that the actress has finally returned to the film sets, she is all hands on while shooting for Meghna Gulzar’s film Chhapaak, based on the story of an acid attack survivor. The film follows the journey of acid-attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, and Deepika affected by the emotional story, could not hold back her tears back on the first day of the shoot.
A source recently said to a leading entertainment portal how Deepika broke down on the first day of the shoot. “The project is an emotional roller-coaster ride for Deepika and she broke down on the first day while shooting. It happened when she was shooting for the first scene and having serious discussions with the filmmaker. Deepika, was quick to regain her composure and the shoot proceeded nicely."
