Deepika Padukone beams with pride as dad Prakash Padukone is honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

Deepika Padukone and sister Anisha were clicked at the airport earlier today as they left for Delhi. The Padukone family is in Delhi as Prakash Padukone is being presented with a special award today. Prakash Padukone has been honored with ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ by the Badminton Association of India. The Vice President of India presented the award to Prakash Padukone.

Deepika Padukone, Anisha Padukone with mother Ujala Padukone accompanied Prakash Padukone at the event. Deepika Padukone looked extremely elegant in a peach colored silk saree. She opted for a low bun and exquisite jewelry to complete her look. Ujala Padukone and Anisha Padukone also sported traditional attires and the three beamed with pride as Prakash Padukone received the Award.

Deepika in an earlier interview had said about her father, “He is someone who has always been very calm and is extremely patient and loves teaching and explaining. I have got my focus and discipline from him. Workwise, when it becomes stressful for me, my dad who has seen fame and success will always relate it back to sports for me and say, 'You take part to win, but when you are playing a particular game, you are only thinking of that opponent and that match whereas the larger picture can be that you want to achieve somethings for yourself. Getting to the top is easier than maintaining it.' What I really like about them is that both of them have kept us grounded and kept us in touch with reality and life beyond work.”
