Dabangg clocks 8 years, Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha tease fans with Dabangg 3 announcement
Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha took to their social media pages and shared stills from Dabangg as the film completed eight years of its release. They also posted about Dabangg 3 to be out next year.
It's been eight years since Salman Khan starrer Dabangg released. The film showed the superstar playing the role of an adorable cop, named Robinhood Pandey aka Chulbul Pandey. The film directed by Abhinav Kashyap marked Bollywood debut of Sonakshi Sinha. The film had a simple yet amazing plot and people still consider it as one of the best cop dramas in Bollywood. The film also starred late Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia and Arbaaz Khan in pivotal roles.
Today, as the film clocked eight years, Salman took to his social media pages to talk about the same. He shared a still from Dabangg with Sonakshi and said, "Aaj 8 saal Ho Gaye Dabangg Ko... thank u for all the appreciation and love from Rajjo and Chulbul Pandey...see u in #Dabangg3 next year" While, Sonakshi, who with Dabangg completed eight years in the industry also shared a still and said, "8 years of #Dabangg, 8 years of #chulbulandrajjo, 8 years of me doing what i love the most! Thank you @beingsalmankhan, @arbaazSkhan, #AbhinavKashyap for making me realize my calling! And thank YOU all, for all the love see u in #dabangg3 next year!!!"
With these posts, both Salman and Sonakshi made the Dabangg fans impatient as they said the third instalment for the film will be out next year.

Talking about Dabangg 3, the third part will be directed by Prabhudheva and is likely to go on floors by the end of this year. The second part of the franchise was directed by Arbaaz Khan.
