Brahmastra: Alia Bhatt shoots on the last day of the first schedule in Bulgaria
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are currently in Bulgaria where they are busy shooting for Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra. The film is slated to release on August 15, 2019.
The shoot of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra is going on a full swing in Bulgaria. The fantasy-adventure film is being directed by Ayan Mukerji under Karan Johar's home banner Dharma Productions. The whole team including Mouni Roy has been shooting for past 40 days in Bulgaria and their schedule is nearing its end.
Today, Alia took to her Instagram story and shared a selfie posing with her team. She captioned it saying, "About 40 days later... Last day of the first schedule. #Brahmastra"
A source from the film's team told a leading daily that both the actors are expected to return from Bulgaria by the weekend. While Alia will start shooting for Gully Boy, Ranbir will begin his prep for the June schedule of Brahmastra.
As per reports, Ranbir will start training in various Indian martial arts forms, including Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai, after he heads back to Mumbai. "Ranbir will train in Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai. He is required to have the physique of a gymnast for the film, and these martial art forms will help him achieve that," a source told a leading daily.
About working with Ranbir, Alia earlier had said in an interview to a leading daily, "I’m super-excited. I’ve always been open about the fact that I admire Ranbir as an actor, and I’m dying to work with him because I’m going to learn more about acting as a craft (from him). I am just a big fan of Ranbir. I’m also most excited about working with Ayan (Mukerji; director) because I loved both his films (Wake Up Sid, 2009, and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, 2013). He’s a very dear person."
