Box Office Report: Jab Tak Hai Jaan Super Hit, Son Of Sardaar Hit
Life Of Pi opened had a good 50% opening at multiplexes across the big cities. The film will record healthy figures for day one. Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son Of Sardaar collected similar amounts on there second Friday's as both films grossed in the 2.50-2.75 crore nett range. JBHJ lost screens in week two but Friday has an increase in multiplex ticket prices and it has the bulk of collections coming from multiplexes now. Son Of Sardaar had a similar number of screens in week two and continued to score in mass areas
Jab Tak Hai Jaan has grossed 91 crore after ten days and has done well at multiplexes. The Film is a SUPER HIT. Son of Sardaar has grossed 75 crore nett in ten days. The poor release at single screens has cost the film as the film has done better at single screens and if the film had released at the better single screens, it would have put up higher numbers. The film is a HIT. Despite the competition and other controversies surrounding the films, one can say Diwali 2012 has turned out a winner for Bollywood.
