Boney Kapoor attends a prayer meet held for Sridevi in the city
Sridevi's untimely death has left her family and the film industry devastated. Sridevi breathed her last on February 24, 2018, in Dubai after having a fainting spell in the bathroom. Her cause of death was revealed to be an accidental drowning.
Sridevi was a legend in herself and it's been more than 15 days that the actor left for heavenly abode. She passed away in Dubai in her hotel bath-tub. During her funeral, fans blocked the roads of the city just to see Sridevi's last glimpse. Bollywood stars also came in to meet the bereaved Kapoor family. Boney Kapoor immersed her ashes in Haridwar last week. Daughter Janhvi and Khushi along with Boney Kapoor had gone to Chennai where a prayer meet for Sridevi was held.
Yesterday, Meet Brothers and Society paid a tribute to the legendary actor and Boney Kapoor attended the prayer meet.

Post her demise, Boney Kapoor penned a heartfelt tribute to her which read, "Losing a friend, wife and mother of your two young daughters is a loss inexplicable in words. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers and all of you countless fans of my Sridevi who have stood by us like rocks. I am blessed to have the support and love of Arjun and Anshula, who have been such pillars of strength for myself, Khushi and Janhvi. Together, as a family, we have tried to face this unbearable loss."
"To the world she was their Chandni..the actor par excellence…their Sridevi..but to me she was my love, my friend, mother to our girls..my partner. To our daughters, she was their everything….their life. She was the axis around which our family ran," wrote Boney.
