Boney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor head to Haridwar for conducting prayers for Sridevi

The Kapoor family went through a tragic phase in their lives when the actor Sridevi passed away on February 24. Boney Kapoor was inconsolable after he lost his wife and brothers Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor were all by his side throughout. Today, Boney and Anil were clicked by the shutterbugs at the airport. The two were heading to Haridwar.

According to a report in a leading daily, Boney Kapoor will conduct prayers for Sridevi in Haridwar. An insider told the daily, "Conducting prayers at Haridwar is a significant custom for Hindus, especially for those who are from North India. And Boney wants to ensure that he goes through the rituals at the holy place."

It is also reported that the prayers in Chennai will not be held on the 13th day but it will be held in Sridevi's hometown on the 16th  day. 

Post her demise, Boney Kapoor penned a heartfelt tribute to her which read, "Losing a friend, wife and mother of your two young daughters is a loss inexplicable in words. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers and all of you countless fans of my Sridevi who have stood by us like rocks. I am blessed to have the support and love of Arjun and Anshula, who have been such pillars of strength for myself, Khushi and Janhvi. Together, as a family we have tried to face this unbearable loss.

To the world she was their Chandni..the actor par excellence…their Sridevi..but to me she was my love, my friend, mother to our girls..my partner. To our daughters, she was their everything….their life. She was the axis around which our family ran."
