Beyond The Clouds: Ishaan Khatter, Malavika Mohanan, Majid Majidi and AR Rahman attend the trailer launch

Today, the trailer launch of the film Beyond The Clouds was held in the city. The trailer launch for the film was attended by the lead actors - Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan. 

The film is directed by Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi who was also present for the event. AR Rahman, who has composed the music for the film also graced the trailer launch.

Ishaan was all smiles at the trailer launch. He looked smart in a black T-shirt and camouflage pants. 

Malavika looked stunning in a silver studded lehenga.

The story is set in the slums of Mumbai and Ishaan plays the role of Amir, a young and enthusiastic guy while Malavika plays the role of Tara in the film.

During the trailer launch event, Ishaan was asked about people he took suggestions from before signing such an intriguing film. To which Ishaan stated, "I took my mom's (Neelima Azim) suggestion for the film and then it was my brother Shahid Kapoor that I went to. Shahid said that just listen to your heart."

He further said, "Then I asked Karan Johar too because I am also doing Dhadak."

Ishaan looks promising in his debut film and we can't wait to watch the film. He has completely nailed Mumbai's tapori Hindi accent for the film.

Last year, the paparazzi spotted Deepika Padukone in the ragged clothes auditioning for Majid's film in the busy streets of Mumbai's slum areas. But then, she wasn't finalised for the role and Malavika was selected to play the lead.

Today, at the trailer launch of Beyond The Clouds, Majid Majidi was quizzed about Deepika. To which he replied, "I want to specially thank Deepika Padukone and she gave her inputs on this film. This time the collaboration couldn't happen but would surely want to work with her. She was very humble."

Beyond The Clouds is slated to release on March 23, 2018.
