Batti Gul Meter Chalu: Shraddha Kapoor goes de-glam for Shree Narayan Singh's film

Shahid Kapoor is currently in Uttarakhand, where he has started shooting for Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The film stars Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam as the female lead and is slated to release on August 31, 2018. We have got the picture of Shraddha's look in the film.

Shraddha Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor have begun shooting for Batti Gul Meter Chalu. Shraddha will be seen opposite Shahid for the second time after Haider. Batti Gul Meter Chalu is being shot in Uttarakhand. We got the pictures of Shraddha shooting for the film. She was seen wearing a simple kurta and jeans.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu is directed by Shree Narayan Singh of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha fame. The film also stars Yami Gautam as the female lead. It is set to hit the screens on August 31, 2018.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Batti Gul Meter Chalu's director Shree Narayan Singh spoke about Shahid and said, "Shahid is fantastic. He liked the idea and when he met me and he agreed for the movie within five minutes. Our equation is really good. Shahid is playing a lawyer in the film."

He also said, "I am thrilled to begin work on Batti Gul in Uttarakhand. There is a different vibe here which keeps bringing me back to this beautiful state. Showing a new side to it will be a big challenge."

He added, "I'm happy to collaborate with KriArj Entertainment the presenters of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. As a filmmaker, it’s a pleasure working with a dream team of producers, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, who also always puts the film first and understands everything that goes into making a memorable movie. Together we hope to make another memorable film that reaches a wide spectrum of audiences across the country. I also look forward to working with Shahid Kapoor. Someone with his talent will do complete justice to the role."

The movie will be wrapped by April and will be shot across Haridwar, Rishikesh, Tehri, Mussoorie and Nainital.
