Batti Gul Meter Chalu: Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor are all hearts and smiles in this still

Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor first worked together in Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider (2014). The duo will again share screen space in Shree Narayan Singh's upcoming film titled Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The trailer of Batti Gul was released last month. The film is based on the issue of electricity theft that happens a lot in the small towns and villages in India. Last week, the makers shared a quirky dance number Gold Tamba from the film.

Today, a heart-wrenching Dekhte Dekhte song was dropped by Batti Gul team. It's a sad song and the video focuses on the problems between the two leads of the film. A few hours after the song came out, Shahid Kapoor took to his Instagram page to share a beautiful still from the film. In this still, Shahid and Shraddha share a romantic moment and are smiles. Both the actors complement each other quite well and we can't wait to see them together on screen.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu also stars Divyendu Sharma and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles. The film is shot in the Tehri region of Uttarakhand. For the film, Shahid and Shraddha learned the Garhwali accent. 

Batti Gul Meter Chalu is slated to release on September 21, 2018.

Shahid Kapoor will be next seen in Telugu film's Arjun Reddy Hindi remake whereas Shraddha Kapoor will be seen with Rajkummar Rao in horror comedy Stree.
