Batti Gul Meter Chalu pair Shahid Kapoor and Yami Gautam have a busy day in the city

Shahid Kapoor and Batti Gul Meter Chalu co-star Yami Gautam were papped in the city by the shutterbugs today. Shahid Kapoor was clicked after an ad shoot with Shruti Haasan, whereas Yami Gautam was spotted at the airport. Yami will soon begin shooting the film with Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.

Shahid Kapoor kept it cool and casual post the ad shoot. He looked handsome in a grey tee and black shorts. Shahid gave the media persons a thumbs up before zooming off in his car.

He is currently busy with the shoot of his next film, Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The film is based on the subject of power theft. Shahid has been shooting for the film in Tehri, however he contracted a viral infection and had to fly back to the city.

“Shree Narayan Singh, in Toilet Ek Prem Katha, talked about issues women faced with open defecation. Now he has chosen the electricity issue which will make the film very relatable to the common man,” Shahid had earlier said about the film in an interview.

Yami Gautam, Shahid’s costar from the film looked pretty in a quirky and comfy attire. About her role in the film, she had said, “I think it is very interesting, quirky, entertaining and has a lot of substance at the same time. I am extremely happy to be working with the team. I play a lawyer in a film for the first time. So, I am very happy.”
