Badhaai Ho: Ayushmann Khurrana starts filming for Amit Sharma's film; to be paired opposite Sanya Malhotra
Ayushmann Khurrana, who was last seen in Shubh Mangal Savdhan, will now be seen in Amit Sharma's Badhaai Ho. The movie has gone on floors today and also stars the Dangal fame, Sanya Malhotra.
Ayushmann Khurrana, who was last seen in Shubh Mangal Savdhan, will now be seen in Amit Sharma's Badhaai Ho. The movie has gone on floors today. Badhaai Ho is a coming-of-age story of a family as it grapples with some unexpected news. The film follows the impact of the news on the family and how the members deal with it in their own way. The film also stars the Dangal fame, Sanya Malhotra.

Earlier, talking about the movie, Ayushmann said, "I had a fantastic experience collaborating with Junglee Pictures for Bareilly Ki Barfi and working with them on Badhaai Ho is going to be exciting. The story that Amit tells is typically Indian with dollops of quirky humour. I look forward to a family film that is innovative and entertaining."
Talking about his choice of script and the kind of films people want in today's time, Ayushmann earlier told a leading daily, "After Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015), I realised that script really matters and the content should be different in this day and age because nowadays, you have lot of options online and lot of space for people to showcase their work. And those are quirkier and edgier because censorship is lenient online."
On his choice of films he did till now, Ayushmann stated, "Look at Akshay (Kumar) and Aamir (Khan). Even such big stars have married content-based cinema with socially relevant films and people haven’t labelled them, so I don’t see any risk. They have rather set a benchmark for us to follow. They’re an inspiration and I certainly won’t have any apprehensions signing other such films if they come my way."
