Arjun Rampal's mother passes away; actor's daughters Mahikaa & Myra pay last respects

Arjun Rampal’s mother Gwen Rampal passed away today. Arjun performed the last rites in Worli today and rumoured girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades, ex-wife Mehr Jessia and daughters Mahikaa and Myra Rampal were present at the funeral. They consoled the actor at the funeral. Arjun’s close friends Diva Dhawan, Abhishek Kapoor with wife Pragya Kapoor, Kim Sharma and others paid their last respects at the funeral. Arjun’s mother had been cured of cancer a few months ago and Arjun had shared this with his fans on social media.

Arjun’s mother was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer four years ago. Earlier this year, Arjun had shared a video in which he had talked about his mother’s long battle with cancer. He had shared that Cancer is becoming like an epidemic these days and had said that his mother was treated at a research center in Lisbon and was cured. He had said in the video, “My mother underwent treatment for it and was cured. But 10 months later, cancer metastised into her lungs.” He announced in the emotional video that his mother is now fine.

In January last year, on Republic Day, Arjun had tweeted, “It's one of the happiest days in our lives,I am in Lisbon right now.My gratitude knows no bounds to #profcarlogreco #champalimaudfoundation.” Arjun had thanked his close friends, fans for praying for his mother. He had shared, “A very Happy Republic Day 2017. My mother beats her cancer today.Just got to know let's pledge to beat cancer from our country today.”
