Anushka Sharma & Ranveer Singh's film Band Baaja Baarat clocks 8 years; actress takes a trip down memory lane
Anushka Sharma took to her Twitter page and posted about her third film Band Baaja Baaraat which completed eight years of its release. In the film, she was paired opposite Ranveer Singh.
On December 10, 2010, a certain Mr Ranveer Singh made his debut in Bollywood and the industry got a talented and quirky actor. Yes, it has been eight years since his debut film Band Baaja Baaraat hit the silver screens and we encountered a cute Bittoo Sharma. In the film, Ranveer romanced Anushka Sharma, who was just two films old in Bollywood. Band Baaja Baaraat was Anushka's third film after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Badmaash Company. The film also marked Maneesh Sharma's directorial debut.
Today, the official Twitter page of Yash Raj Films, who produced Band Baaja Baaraat took to their Twitter page and celebrated eight years of its release. They tweeted, "They were the life & business partners. #8YearsOfBandBaajaBaaraat" Even Anushka tweeted a cute post with a caption stating, "#8YearsOfBandBaajaBaaraat @RanveerOfficial #ManeeshSharma" Nostalgic much?! For Band Baaja Baaraat, Ranveer won Filmfare Awards for Best Male Debut category. Whereas Anushka won Best Actress at International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA).
After Band Baaja Baaraat, Anushka and Ranveer went on to work together in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl which was also directed by Maneesh Sharma and released in the year 2011. Then after four years in 2015, they yet again shared screen space in Zoya Akhtar's directorial titled Dil Dhadakne Do.
Currently, Anushka is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Zero which will hit the screens on December 21, 2018. Whereas Ranveer will next be seen in Simmba which will release on December 28, 2018.
