The team of Kalank completed the shooting of the film. Directed by Abhishek Varman, it stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur.
After 2 States (2014), Alia Bhatt teamed up with director Abhishek Varman for a period drama titled Kalank. The shooting of the film started last year in April. Kalank also stars Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur. The actors recently completed the shooting of the film. Last night, the team celebrated the wrap-up bash of the film.
Today, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram page to share a picture of Abhishek Varman and Aditya Roy Kapur. She gave a wonderful caption to the pic. The Raazi actress wrote, "KALANK has wrapped but the heart is still wide open!! For those who understand it and for those who don’t.. when you wrap a film it feels like a part of you just combusts.. especially when you’ve worked with your friends and family.. Crossing our fingers and toes for the journey ahead.. Cant wait for you guys to see the visuals..".

A few days ago, she shared a picture with Varun Dhawan and shared her excitement of their fourth film together.
She had shared, "& it’s a film wrap for Varun on KALANK.. Our 4th film completed together and he still manages to surprise me with his hard work and crazy energy everyday.. Also manages to make me laugh like a crazy person by just being himself.. I can’t can’t can’t wait for you guys to see the stuff he’s done with his character in the film!!!!"
Kalank is slated to release on April 19, 2019.
