Akshay Kumar organizes a special screening of PadMan for his family, view photos

Akshay Kumar has been choosing socially relevant scripts off-late. His films impart a message to the movie-goers. Akshay’s next film, PadMan is also based on a very important issue- menstruation.

The film which was slated to release on 25^th January has been postponed to 9^th February. Akshay shifted the film’s release date on the request of Padmaavat director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Today, Akshay hosted a screening of the film for his family. Clicked at the screening were Twinkle Khanna with son Aarav Bhatia. Aarav looked handsome in an all-black attire. Twinkle Khanna who has turned producer with this film kept it simple in a white kurta-pajama.

R.Balki, the film’s director was also clicked at the screening of the film. Akshay Kumar’s mother and mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia were all smiles as they exited the theatre. Karan Kapadia, Twinkle Khanna’s cousin who is also gearing up for his Bollywood debut was spotted after the screening hanging out with Aarav.

About the film, Akshay had earlier said, “I have lived with women all my life, yet I have learnt more about the topic while making this film than ever before. I do not mind who I offend or whose stomach I turn by being bold, this is not the Stone Age; menstruating is natural. If you change nothing, nothing will change. It’s not about being bold, but about breaking taboos that hold us back.”
