Akash Ambani-Shloka Mehta's engagement ceremony: The couple looks regal in traditional outfits

Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta got engaged in a traditional ceremony at the Ambani residence today. Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s son, Akash Ambani formally proposed to girlfriend Shloka Mehta in March in the presence of their families in Goa. Akash and Shloka have been dating for over five years and will solemnize their relationship in December, this year.

Akash and Shloka studied together in Dhirubhai Ambani International School and the Mehtas and Ambanis have been friends for years.

Yesterday, the family hosted a Mehendi ceremony which was attended by Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas.

At the engagement ceremony today, Akash and Shloka posed for photos for the media. The couple looked lovely in traditional outfits. Akash dressed in a maroon traditional attire posed with Shloka, who donned a lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

Close friends from the industry – Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Karan Johar and others arrived to congratulate the couple.

The ring ceremony of Akash and Shloka will take place on the 30th of this month and will be hosted by none other than Shah Rukh Khan, as per a report in Filmfare. He will also be performing at the party. The who’s who of Bollywood is expected to attend Akash and Shloka’s engagement bash which will take place at the Ambani residence.

The wedding will take place in Mumbai over 4-5 days at a five star hotel. The tentative dates are December 8-12, 2018.
