Ajay Devgn catches a special screening of Raid with Kajol, son Yug, Tanishaa and mother-in-law Tanuja

Ajay Devgn’s upcoming release, Raid will see him in the role of an Income Tax officer. He stars with Ileana D’Cruz in the film. The film’s trailer has received a positive response and it is scheduled to release tomorrow. The film is based on a true story from Lucknow.

Ajay had talked about his character and real-life references in an interview to a daily and had said, ““I didn’t really spend a lot of time with him but I heard a few more stories of IT raids from him and other officers.Some were funny and some scary, I marvelled at how casually he narrated the incident though I don’t think he’d have been as nonchalant then.”

Ajay hosted a special screening of the film for his family. Seen at the screening were wife Kajol with son Yug. Kajol and Yug were seen exiting the theatre after the preview. Kajol kept it simple and sported minimal make-up. Ajay Devgn waved out to the paparazzi and opted for a white shirt.

“The character is very heroic but the struggle was that it is a real character. So we had to make a conscious effort to keep it real. Even if he has to say a punch line it should look like it is said by a real person. We have done our best to portray the character as realistically as possible, but now time will tell if the audience will like it,” he had earlier said about his character.
