Aishwarya Rai Bachchan remembers Nelson Mandela on his 100th birth anniversary by sharing a throwback photo

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took to her Instagram page and shared a photo with Nelson Mandela on the occasion of his 100th birth anniversary.

Yesterday, it was Nelson Mandela's 100th birth anniversary and people around the world remembered the legendary person on their social media pages.

One of the stars who remembered Madiba was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who posted a throwback photo with him. In the photo, during her Miss World days, Aishwarya is seen shaking hands with Mandela and they are all smiles.

The former beauty queen captioned the photo on her Instagram page stating, "Honoured , Privileged and Humbled"

Even Amitabh Bachchan remembered Madiba by posting a photo. He tweeted, "T 2871 - Nelson Mandela Day - on one occasion , he saw me across a street at a common event and waved to me and said -"I hope you remember me" !! amazing humility and grace"

Honoured , Privileged and Humbled


Nelson Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary and President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was born on July 18, 1918, and he passed away on December 5, 2013.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Aishwarya will next be seen in Fanney Khan. In the film, the actor plays the role of Baby Singh, India's biggest pop star. She is paired opposite Rajkummar Rao in the film. Fanney Khan also stars Anil Kapoor in the titular role and is directed by debutant Atul Manjrekar. The musical-drama is set to hit the screens on August 3, 2018.

Apart from the trailer, two songs from the film are out and they both are picturised on Aishwarya. One is an introductory song of Aishwarya titled Mohabbat, while the other one titled Halka Halka gives us a glimpse of the blossoming romance between the gorgeous actor and Rajkummar.
