After Nana Patekar's reply, Ganesh Acharya denies Tanushree Dutta's sexual harassment allegations
Ganesh Acharya has finally replied to the notice sent by the Maharashtra State Commission for Women dated October 9, 2018, and denied all the allegations levelled against him.
Tanushree Dutta is said to be the torchbearer of the Me Too movement in India and post the charges she levelled sexual harassment charges against her Horn OK Pleaseee co-star Nana Patekar, and other members of the team including director Rakesh Sarang, producer Samee Siddiqui, and choreographer Ganesh Acharya. The said incident happened 10 years ago, and while Nana Patekar and Samee did reply to the notice dated October 9, 2018, it is now Ganesh Acharya who has replied to the Commission's notice.
In the notice, Acharya has denied any such incident of sexual harassment and said that it is not true that the song was a solo song picturized on the complainant alone. The reply also states that during the time of the rehearsal, the team faced a lot of hardships because of the complainant's (Dutta's) finical nature. The notice further added that the complainant did not show any grievance about the performance with actor Nana Patekar. He further denied the dance steps being derogatory or lewd in any manner as they were practiced by Acharya along with his assistant dancers before.
Met a very tiny adorable human!! #cutenessoverload #welcometotheworld
The reply further mentioned how Nana Patekar never made any inappropriate passes at Tanushree Dutta and that there were more than 200 performers present at the location. The reply further states how she kept everyone waiting for 4 long hours despite giving her regular reminders for her shot. However, even after the 4 hours she couldn't get the perfect shot which is why the team waited for it since the song needed to be finished on the stipulated date. Further, the reply clearly mentions how the song never required any intimate scenes and neither were there any additions to the song last moment. Further, there is also a mention of how the last minute resort for the song was Rakhi Sawant because they needed to get it done, which in turn, led to yet another issue cropping up.
The reply was concluded by saying how he still doesn't understand why have the false allegations been levelled against him.
