Aditya Roy Kapur, Shruti Haasan and Imran Khan attend the special screening of Saif Ali Khan’s Kaalakaandi

Today, the makers hosted the special screening of Kaalakaandi. The event saw many celebs in attendance – Shruti Haasan along with her sister Akshara Haasan, Imran Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur.

Shruti Haasan looked gorgeous in a black and grey outfit which she teamed with a sling bag and black boots. She was seen posing with her sister Akshara at the screening.

Aditya Roy Kapur and Imran Khan also arrived at the special screening of the movie. While Aditya looked dapper in a denim jacket, black tee and trousers, Imran looked handsome in a brown jacket and blue denim.

On the work front, there are reports that Mohit Suri is planning to make a movie with Aditya and Shraddha Kapoor again. The actress was even snapped outside Aditya's house recently.

Shruti Haasan was last seen in Behen Hogi Teri. A romantic-comedy, it also featured Rajkummar Rao in the lead and did a decent performance at the box office. At present, she has the long-delayed Sabaash Naidu in her kitty. A spy-comedy, it also features her dad Kamal Haasan in the lead.

Imran Khan’s Katti Batti released in the year 2015 and since then the actor is on a sabbatical. There were reports that Imran will soon be trying his hand at direction and is writing a script with hairstylist-turned-writer Ayesha DeVitre.

Talking about the movie Kaalakaandi, it is the story of six characters from different worlds: urban, ambitious Mumbai and its dark, neglected underbelly.

Talking about Kaalakaandi, Saif had earlier said, "The film is a cross-section of Mumbai with underworld goons, doomed bankers and idealistic lovers all mixed together in this karmic tale about love, crime and living a lifetime in one night!! I truly consider it to be one of my best films and am really forward to the release."

The movie also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raaz, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Shivam Patil, Amyra Dastur, Nary Singh and Neil Bhoopalam. The film marks the directorial debut of Delhi Belly writer Akshat Verma.
 
Kaalakaandi will be releasing on January 12, 2018.
