PICS: Shahid Kapoor and Mira Kapoor make a handsome couple at the Vogue Beauty Awards

Shahid Kapoor and his lovely wife Mira Rajpur attended the Vogue Beauty Awards 2017 in the city today. While Shahid looked dapper in a purple suit, Mira looked elegant in a black gown, as always. The doting parents of little Misha Kapoor, spoke to the media collected there and posed for the shutterbugs.

On the work front, Shahid has been working on his Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie Padmavatri. Mr Kapoor plays Deepika Padukone aka Rani Padmavati's husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in the much awaited period drama. During a recent interview, Shahid had mentioned that there is a very strong love story between himself and Deepika, in the movie.

Talking about the controversies surrounding the historical drama, whose shooting was disrupted for apparently showing a romantic angle between Rajput queen Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji, Shahid said: "According to me, I have not shot any scene which has been changed. I think there were a lot of presumptions about the film, and people were presuming about the scenes. The clarification has been given that no such scene is there in the film. I hope when people see this film, they will realize that the heart of the film and intent of the film is very good. This country and the people who live in it, and specially the area we are talking about in the film, will be glorified. I play a Rajput king and my character, I feel, will be admired by people."

On the personal front, Shahid and Mira are often clicked heading to gorgeous holiday locations with their little one Misha Kapoor. Mira had commented that she loves to be a full time mom and would not like to work until Misha is older. She also hinted that she might opt for a second child soon.
