Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Zaira Wasim launch the trailer of Secret Superstar

Aamir Khan, who was in Malta for Thugs Of Hindostan shoot and later when on to Italy for a quick family holiday, is back to the city. 

The actor today attended a private screening of the trailer of his upcoming film Secret Superstar which stars Dangal girl Zaira Wasim in the lead role. 

For the screening, Aamir sported a black striped T-shirt and blue denim. The actor was seen in his TOH avatar with his moustache on point. He was accompanied by wife Kiran Rao who was seen sporting a white kurta and leggings and Zaira Wasim who looked cute as a button in a grey top and black jeans. 

It was indeed refreshing to see Zaira, given that she makes less of public appearances. 

Secret Superstar is directed by debutant Advait Chandan and co-produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Zee Studios and Akash Chawla. The film is slated to release this year during the Diwali weekend.

Talking about the plot of the film, Zaira plays a 14-year-old girl named Insia who desires to be a singer much to the chagrin of her dad. She then decides to make her own YouTube channel in which she posts videos of herself singing while covering her face in a burkha. She is then scouted by Aamir's character who is a music director and is impressed by Insia's musical gift. 

Revealing the reason why Secret Superstar got delayed, Aamir said that he had asked Zaira to shoot for Dangal first and hence this movie got delayed. 

Nevertheless, the teaser has already got us hooked and we can't wait to watch the trailer!
