PICS: Abhishek Bachchan hosts NBA player Kevin Durant in the national capital

Apart from cricket and football, basketball is another sport which is growing by leaps and bounds in the country but there is still a long way to go. NBA Basketball player Kevin Durant has landed in the national capital to do his bit for the game in the country.

The 28-year-old ace basketball player was hosted by Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan at an event in the national capital. Apart from Junior B, TV personality and actor Rannvijay Singh also marked his attendance at the event along with other celebs namely Tanmay Bhatt and others.

Abhishek Bachchan looked dapper in his all black three piece suit. Kevin, on the other hand, decided to go casual at the event. He looked cool in his blue tee and denim.

Kevin Durant is on a visit to India to support the continued growth of basketball in the country and coach the country's top prospects at The NBA Academy India.  Durant will also visit the NBA Academy India in Noida, becoming the first active NBA player to visit the academy. He will coach the prospects through a series of shooting, passing, dribbling and defensive drills.

If we talk about Abhishek, he has always expressed his love for sports whether it is football, kabaddi or basketball.

On the work front, Abhishek will be slipping into the role of the legendary poet Sahir Ludhianvi, who is best remembered for his songs like Jinhe Naaz Hai Hind Par Woh Kahaan Hai (Pyaasa) and Woh Subah Kabhi Toh Aayegi (Phir Subah Hogi), Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar Hoon, Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein and others.

Reportedly, Bachchan junior is getting in shape to play Sahir's character. He has lost almost 12 kilos of weight to look lean in the movie. He is also familiarizing with the lyrics of his songs, as a part of the prep for his character.
