Sanjay Dutt has taken a trip to The Masailand (stretching between Kenya and Tanzania in Africa) to live his passion for wildlife photography. And he will bring in his birthday on July 29th, with his close friend Paresh Ghelani. US-based entrepreneur Ghelani is one of Dutt’s closest buddies, whom the star refers to as Parya. Ghelani has flown in from Los Angeles to celebrate Dutt’s birthday over the weekend. They are staying at Nimali (small, lodge-style tented camps on the outskirts of Tarangire National Park.) The Kenyan part of the Serengeti has the Maasai Mara National Reserve, a large game reserve in Kenya where he plans to take some fantastic pictures. The actor is known to be an ace photographer.

Says a source close to the actor, "Sanju is very excited about the trip as he is an avid nature and wildlife lover. He wanted to do this for the longest time and now got a chance to pursue his passion. Sanju is accompanied by his close friend Paresh. They flew in last week and are currently at The Masai Land on a photographic safari while based at Nimali. From there the actor will travel to Serengeti later this week and celebrate his birthday there. Sanju loves wildlife and animals and spending time with them taking photographs."

The much-in-love couple Sanjay and his wife Manaayata has already celebrated their birthdays jointly in Dubai earlier last week. Adds the source, "Maanayata and Sanjay bought in celebrations earlier on their vacation and Sanjay's safari trip was planned during the birthday in Dubai with their kids Shahran and Iqra and close friends. Maanayata knows how much Sanju loves wildlife photography and going on safaris so she didn’t mind at all when he wasn’t there for her birthday or that he won’t be in Mumbai to celebrate his birthday. After their Dubai holiday, Maanayata then flew back to Mumbai with the kids and Sanju left for Africa."

Post his birthday trip Dutt will return to a choc-a-bloc schedule. The source informs, "Sanju has blocked the second half of the year with the shoot of his forthcoming films, including Tigmashu Dhulia's Saheb Biwi Gangster 3, Todbaaz and Malang, which will be followed by Nishikant Kamath's untitled next. Sanju lands in Mumbai on August 8 and heads straight into the promotions of Bhoomi on August 10 with a trailer launch. He wanted to use this time and make a trip to Africa for a safari tour as he hadn’t been on a break for a long time."
