IIFA 2017: Preity Zinta and husband Gene Goodenough compliment each other in black at the green carpet

It's been a year to Preity Zinta's hush-hush marriage with then boyfriend Gene Goodenough. Their wedding became one of the major headlines for every gossip column and the pictures of their reception went viral. Preity accompanied by Gene is at IIFA and the two looked like a royal couple on the green carpet. 

Preity Zinta and husband Gene Goodenough chose the royal black for the event. While Preity mesmerized us with her tube black gown which she paired with diamond earrings, Gene looked his formal best as he suited up in a black two-piece with a black tie and formal shoes. Both just looked perfect with each other and we can't stop gushing about this picture. 

Nothing is really known about Preity and Gene's affair, but in a recent interaction with fans on Facebook, she revealed when she first met him. A fan asked her, "When did you meet your husband Gene Goodenough?" Preity replied back saying, "I met him in Santa Monica in Los Angeles about six years ago. Then we dated for five years and we finally got married."

Isn't that cute?

In an earlier interview, she had said that she is indeed lucky to have Gene as he pushes her for work. She said, "For me, it is very simple, I am married, working and very happy. I am lucky that I am married to a person who actually pushed me into doing a movie. I thought I didn’t want to do any more movies and I moved to the business side of life." 

Indeed a perfect couple!
