IIFA 2017 host Saif Ali Khan heads towards New York City

Saif Ali Khan was clicked at the US consulate recently, where he had been to apply for his American VISA. Well, the actor is all set now, and headed to New York City to ring in the IIFA 2017 film festival. Saif Ali Khan will be hosting the high profile event along with Karan Johar and Varun Dhawan.

Saif had recently attended the IIFA presscon with KJO and Varun. He had said, "I want to host a show with Shah Rukh Khan. It will be fun! He is so clever, I would live to host a show with him." Varun, who was sitting next to Saif, had said: "I would love to watch you and Shah Rukh working together on-screen."

IIFA will be taking place at the MetLife Stadium, New York on July 14 and 15. The two-day festival, produced and created by Wizcraft International Entertainment, will see a congregation of film celebrities.

Nominees for Best Actor in Leading Role (Male) are Shahid Kapoor for Udta Punjab, Ranbir Kapoor for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Shah Rukh Khan for Fan, Sushant Singh Rajput for M.S. Dhoni..., Amitabh Bachchan for Pink and Salman Khan for Sultan. 

Among the women, the contenders are Anushka Sharma for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Alia Bhatt for Dear Zindagi and Udta Punjab, Sonam Kapoor for Neerja and Taapsee Pannu for Pink.

The Best Director nominations feature Karan Johar for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Neeraj Pandey for M.S. Dhoni..., Ram Madhvani for Neerja, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhary for Pink, Ali Abbas Zafar for Sultan and Abhishek Chaubey for Udta Punjab.
