PICS: Shahid Kapoor heads to NYC with baby Misha and Mira Kapoor for IIFA 2017

Shahid Kapoor is all set to ring in the much awaited film festival - IIFA 2017 - in New York City. The handsome star is clicked here at the Mumbai airport carrying his little baby Misha in his arms, and with wifey Mira Kapoor in tow. Shahid was sporting casual denims teamed with a white tee and blue jacket for the long journey. Mira was clicked wearing a colorful top and black pants teamed with a jacket. Well, the parents sure look nervous anticipating the long journey with the little one, don't they?

The 18th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards will be held at NYC through July 13-15, and will be a celebration of Indian film, music, fashion and dance. There will be performances by the likes of Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon among others at the Metlife Stadium. The show will be hosted by Karan Johar, Saif Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan.

There is also the IIFA Rocks 2017 show, which will feature a celebration of 25 years of Oscar winning talent A.R. Rahman. It will also feature a medley of musicians including Rahman, Diljit Dosanjh, Benny Dayal, Javed Ali, Neeti Mohan, Jonita Gandhi and Haricharan Seshadri. The inimitable Riteish Deshmukh and Manish Paul will host IIFA Rocks, to be held a day before the main awards event.

This is the second time that the IIFA extravaganza is taking place in the US. It was earlier held in Tampa Bay in 2014.

Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is the front runner in the nomination pack of the 18th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards with a chance to win in eight categories, followed by M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story which has been nominated across seven categories. Both the movies are in competition with Neerja, Pink, Sultan and Udta Punjab for the Best Picture trophy.
