Ranveer Singh immortalized at Paris' Grevin wax museum
On his birthday, Ranveer Singh's wax statue at Paris gets unveiled.
Ranveer Singh, who is celebrating his birthday today, has got some great news coming his way. The actor's wax statue has been unveiled at Paris' Grevin wax museum.
With this, Ranveer Singh has joined superstar Shah Rukh Khan at the Paris museum and has become only the second Bollywood star, after SRK, to be honoured with a statue.
Ranveer's wax statue is dressed in a white shirt and black tuxedo. The actor's pose will remind you of his photos from the promotions as he often strikes the same for the photogs in Mumbai. We loved this glimpse of the statue. How about you?
Interestingly, Ranveer's measurements for the statue were taken when he was shooting for Befikre back in 2016. Ranveer's photos while giving the measurements had gone viral on the web. He had back then said, "It’s a truly special birthday present and one that will always bring back beautiful memories of Paris. I love all things French, and am grateful to the museum that they have given me a permanent place in wax in their home and their hearts.”
Reportedly, Ranveer's hair, skin and eye colour were recorded carefully. His hands too were moulded with absolute care. However, the only issue that the sculptor faced majorly was in capturing the contours of Singh's face. Since Ranveer was growing a thick beard for his character in Padmavati that made the process difficult. To give a touch of reality to the statue, Ranveer even donated his outfit for the same!
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer Singh is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati with Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. He also has Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boys with Alia Bhatt.
