The first poster of Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee's Aiyaary is out.
Aiyaary is based on real life incident that revolves around two strong-minded army officers having completely different views, yet right in their own ways. Manoj Bajpayee is the mentor while Sidharth Malhotra plays his protege in the film. The filmmakers have finally released the first poster for the film which features the lead stars.
In the poster, Sidharth and Manoj Bajpayee are seen smiling their heart out and are dressed in military uniforms. The tagline of the poster reads as, "Witness Jay Bakshi & Abhay Singh's Yaari in Aiyaary."
In an interview, Sidharth, while talking about director Neeraj Pandey and Manoj, he said, "They (Neeraj and Manoj) are known for content-driven films. I think Special 26 was a great film with a twist. They make universally appealing films. Manoj Bajpayee is a prolific actor. I will gain by working with somebody like him."
He added, "Neeraj is the most content driven director that we have today. He has wonderful stories that are relevant and have happened in reality. I am a big admirer of his films A Wednesday is the best thriller we have had. He had this script of mentor and protege with an army background for a while. It was a few months back that we met again and we were chatting about work and this film came up."
Aiyaary is slated to release on January 26, 2018, and will be clashing with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's movie 2.0.
