Kriti Sanon spotted in a jolly good mood in the city

Kriti Sanon was spotted in the city and it seemed to be her first outing after her new movie Raabta got released last Friday.

The Dilwale actress looked like the girl next door in her all blue summer avatar. The young actress opted for a light blue denim jacket and she teamed it up with the same colour denim.

She seemed to be in a jolly mood as she happily posed for the shutterbugs. The Bollywood actress was seen busy on the phone the entire time.   

Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer Raabta received an average opening on the first day of its release and managed to earn INR 15.93 crore in its first opening weekend.

According to a trade analyst, the movie earned INR 5.21 crore on Sunday taking the total weekend collections to INR 15.93 crore.

According to a leading trading site, the film managed to mint around INR 13 crore in its first weekend. However, given the lukewarm response to the film, it is difficult to say if the film will pick up on Monday.

The figures are better than that of Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar 3 and Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana's Meri Pyaari Bindu which did not perform as expected.   

Raabta is helmed by Dinesh Vijan and is based on the reincarnation theme. It also stars Rajkummar Rao and Jim Sarbh in pivotal roles.

Kriti spoke to a daily about Raabta recently and said, “I liked the script from day one and has stayed with me for over two years now. It’s tricky to make people believe in both characters in such a short span of time, so it was [a] challenging yet exciting [task]. I had a two-month gap between playing both characters, so that helped me with my thought process.”
