Shraddha Kapoor shares a still with co-star Ankur Bhatia from her movie Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai.
Shraddha Kapoor is excited about her upcoming film Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai. While Shraddha plays the role of Haseena Parkar in the movie, her brother Siddhanth plays her on-screen brother and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
Shraddha recently shared a still from the movie on her social networking handle and wrote, "When we fell in love #HASEENA #IBRAHIM @ankurbhatia." Seen in the picture is New York-based Indian actor Ankur Bhatia, who played Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's husband in Sarbjit. Ankur is playing Shraddha's husband in the movie.
Ankur had said about his role, "I am super-excited to work with Shraddha as I think she's an immensely talented actress. I've been longing to work with Apoorva Lakhia and I'm so glad he gave me the opportunity. I play a tall Pathan character who is filled with joie de vivre. I am really excited to play this part."
Siddhanth had said about the movie, "One of the main reasons why I decided to do Haseena was that I got to play someone whose life has been all over the media. I see it from an actor's point of view. It doesn't really matter if it is a female-oriented film for me because the character stands out and there is scope for performance. This film had a full on transformation from 18 to 42 years old. It sounded really interesting to me."
Talking about his experience of working with his real life sister, Siddhanth said: "My experience with my sister (Shraddha) was extremely special. Every brother's dream is to work with his own sister."
The film has been directed by Apoorva Lakhia.
