PICS: The lovely Vidya Balan papped in the city

Vidya Balan was papped in the city today. The lovely actress posed for the shutterbugs and also obliged for selfies with fans. She was seen wearing a black Indian wear and looked cool and casual. 

The actress has been busy shooting for her movie Tumhari Sulu.  The film is directed by Suresh Triveni and produced by Bhushan Kumar under his banner of T-Series. Balan essays the role of a late night Radio jockey in Mumbai. The film stars actor Manav Kaul as Vidya Balan's husband and actress Neha Dhupia as Vidya's Boss. Tumhari sulu will release on December 1.

The movie will see RJ Malishka making her Bollywood debut as a radio jockey. Malishka said in a statement: "I first met Vidya at St. Xavier's College when I was a noob and she was already heading exalted performance committees for Malhar festival. I have fond memories with her and she is among the sweetest and most positive people I've met."

Vidya was even trained by Malishka for her role in Rajkumar Hirani's Lage Raho Munna Bhai. And now, they will star in the T-Series and Ellipsis Entertainment's upcoming film.

Vidya Balan is all set to dance to Sridevis chartbuster Hawa hawai in the  movie. The iconic number is being recreated by Tanishk Bagchi, known for giving contemporary touch to 1990s hit songs like Humma humma and Tamma tamma.  The makers felt that instead of getting the track re-sung by a new voice, it would be wise to retain Kavita Krishnamurthy's voice, as the track was synonymous with her unique vocals. Rajeev Surti will choreograph the track in June.

The film's director Suresh Triveni said in a statement: "I am elated to have such a cult number in the film. It plays a key role in the film and is not just a remix for the end credits."
